A&C must be sick of seeing Chinnor and Harrow compete in the final of their 10s tournament, as happened today for the second year in a row. Unfortunately Harrow have now also won for two years in a row, but we ran them pretty close in the final today. 19-0 down at half time, but we came back really strongly in the second half and had the game been a few minutes longer we might have got there. Rob and Nic got the tries in a plucky second half showing, but it was not quite enough. Nevertheless, our lads played really well, all of them, and despite suffering a few injuries kept going through the tiredness right to the end.
The day started well with an easy win against Buckingham, 28 -10. Then we lost 0-7 in a game against A&C that we should have won, although A&C did ride their luck. Still, in the end it didn't matter. A 7-0 win against Twickenham, who had earlier beaten A&C themselves, meant that no one finished the pool stages with a 100% record, but the points racked up against Buckingham meant that we won the pool and earned a semi-final against Ealing. That was probably our best game, and some great rugby saw us run out 19-5 winners.
And so on to tour, and more of the same, we hope.
