For our fixture against Banbury we really noticed how the winter weather impacted how our team played. Please ensure your players are dressed for the weather. It's unfair on their team mates if they are struggling to play because they are cold.
Tips for winter weather:
- Under layers - we'd highly recommend all players wear a thermal base layer on both their top and bottoms. You can double up on thermals when it's really cold.
- Hat and gloves - When it's wet and/or cold players should play in a hat and some gloves. We'd recommend some rugby mittens, which you can easily get from a sports shop for around £5.
- Hand warmers - invest in some hand warmers (Google bring up plenty of options to purchase). They are great between matches and half time to give those chilly hands an extra boost.
- Warm drink - hot chocolate or something similar is also good for a quick warm up between matches.
