With the 1XV taking National 1 it was only fitting that the old boys in the club stepped up and reminded us who really are the big dogs in the club. Lacking fitness, toned frames and strength and hair conditioning sessions the Senior team, the VETS, pulled off a stunning win of their own to be Oxfordshire Champions.

Some if these players have been playing rugby for so long that there are only black and white photos of their exploits, some have girths the size of the great oak trees they are and some are so badly scared from the battle that only their other halves dear look them in the eye.

Cheating age and wisdom they donned the Black and White to win the Oxfordshire Championship.

Oh the 1XV may be the poster boys of the club but they will only truly have made it in rugby when they too have their names on the VETS team sheet.
