Passman hat trick seals first ever win at Heywood Road.

A superb hat trick from prolific try scorer Morgan Passman was the highlight of another impressive Chinnor performance.
Going into the game Chinnor had never secured an away victory at Sale and after a 4 week break it was interesting to see if Chinnor could continue on their superb run of form. The initial stages were scrappy and both sides made mistakes as they battled to get back into the groove. The Dogs took the lead with a penalty after 15 minutes. It was taking time for Chinnor to find their usual fluency but the wait was worthwhile as Passman’s first saw a flurry of tries in the last 15 minutes of the half as Hardwick piled over and Feeney explored a gap out wide. Worboys was on target with 2 conversions and Chinnor finished the half in confident mood leading 3-19.
Sale came out firing after the break and immediately reduced the deficit when a breakaway try from Street showed their potency in attack. This gave Sale a big boost in confidence and they thew the kitchen sink at the visitors in attempt to bring the match back to the boil. However Chinnor showed their defensive metal again with some outstanding tackling and crucial turnovers . Defending deep in the 22 excellent disciples and defence structure kept Sale at bay.
Chinnor managed to attack and the next score was crucial when Alun Walker scored his usual try and took the lead again to over two scores, 10-26. This seemed to take the wind from Sales sails and Passman was soon over for his brace after taking a beautiful flat pass from Nick Smith, Bourton converted 10-33.
Darlo then entered proceedings to rumble over which gave time for Passman to finish his extremely fruitful afternoon when he cruised home for his 3rd in the 79th minute , 10-47.
The final score was not really reflective of the battle Sale put up but Chinnor were ruthless in attack after showing great skill and intensity in defence allied to game management from Luke Carter and Smith and Worboys. A welcome return from Oli Curry who showed some fantastic touches and work rate.
Another huge game this Saturday against another North West power this time at home where the boys will be looking to keep their winning run on track.
