Becoming a full member of the Chinnor website is a 2 step process.

Step 1 involves creating your account by entering your email address, password, etc.

Step 2 When you create your account, an email is AUTOMATICALLY sent with a link that must be clicked on to confirm your email address. This action joins your personal account to the Pitchero system and allows any club that you become a member of to communicate directly with you.

In other words Step 2 does two things:

1. Confirms that the email used is a real email - this is to prevent spamming, etc.
2. Connects your email address to the Pitchero backend to allow messages to be sent to you from the clubs you follow without disclosing your email address to the clubs (the PItchero backend database manages the connections)

Why is confirming your email important?
For next season, the membership system will be moving online to allow all members, parents, players, Juniors and Minis to pay their subscription fees via the website.

To allow you to renew your membership using this system you MUST have confirmed your email address to the PItchero system.

If you dont confirm your email then the membership renewal process (and subsequent updates) will be more difficult for you. Also, it is not possible for the club to send emails to you on a regular basis about important matter, events, etc. So you are missing out!
