CHINNOR RFC Thame are delighted to further strengthen our attacking options with the signing of winger Ollie Smith.
The 22-year-old has starred for Northumbria University in recent seasons, causing many a problem for defences.
Smith, who is originally from Bath, has impressed with his elusive ball running and speed in the BUCS Super League.
He said: “I’m delighted to join Chinnor. I’ve heard good things about the Club and it seems like the best place to develop my rugby. After speaking to Richard Thorpe, it just seems like a very professional set-up and he made it clear that if I wanted to develop, this is the right place for me. I’m looking forward to getting started and I’m ready to compete in National League 1.”
Chinnor RFC Thame Director of Rugby, Richard Thorpe said: “Ollie stood out to me during our search for evasive wingers who can penetrate in midfield with elusive footwork, yet still finish out wide with raw pace. He’s a young player with the potential to develop, and I’m looking forward to seeing him in action for us this season.”
