The Rugby Football Union has updated its guidelines and issued a revised Return To Community Rugby Roadmap, which can be viewed HERE. From March 29, we will be operating at Stage D1 and to support this the RFU has provided an informative video which we highly encourage everyone to watch by clicking HERE.
Please note that we are still waiting further guidance from the RFU and therefore this could change some of this information. We will make sure to update you as soon as possible if this is the case.
Please read the attached Club Guidelines at the bottom of this email before your first training session.
Senior Men
Our Senior Squad return to training on March 30 and will continue on at least Tuesdays and Thursdays until Saturday, May 29, with the potential for some adapted rules fixtures. We will provide more information on the latter when we can. Please note that Senior Squad training is invite only.
Our amateur teams – the Wildboys and Outlaws – train on Tuesday nights at 7pm and will start from April 6. If you are interested in joining, please email Head Coach, George White on georgewhite_rugby@hotmail.co.uk.
Senior Women
Our Kites return to training on April 1 and will continue to train every Thursday at 7pm. The team are looking to play friendlies under adapted rules in May and we will provide details as soon as possible.
If you are interested in joining our women’s team, please email Head Coach, Fran Ronan on women@chinnor-rfc.com.
O2 Touch
Our popular and free Friday night O2 Touch sessions will be back from April 2. This is for all ages and abilities and runs every Friday at 7pm. We use the ‘O2 Touch’ app as our primary method of track and trace, to comply with RFU guidelines. In order to play you will have to download the app and register for our session. You will need to bring your phone with the app installed, and location services turned on. This will automatically log you in to our session. For more information, please click HERE.
Walking Rugby
Still relatively new to our Friday night social rugby offering is Walking Rugby and the fun sessions will resume from April 2, starting at 7pm. A simplified version of the game, Walking Rugby is suitable for all ages, abilities and genders, with no contact apart from a two-handed touch on the waist to "tackle" the ball-carrier. It is a competitive passing game, ideal for ex-players and those without any rugby experience. For more information, please click HERE.
