WE’VE got something for you all to look forward to post lockdown with the Chinnor Social 10s confirmed for Saturday, December 5.
Our Intra-Club Ready4Rugby tournament will be the perfect way for you to get back into being at Kingsey Road, with some fun and competitive free-flowing rugby on show for the first time since March.
Our Senior Squad, Wildboys & Kites are going to be mixed up into six teams and we can't wait to see them put on a bit of a spectacle.
This is a great opportunity for you to see our new men's and women's players in action, enjoy a beer or two and to generally soak up that matchday feeling again.
The day starts at 11am with a Walking Rugby Taster Session, before the competitive 15-minute games begin at 11:30am until around 3pm.
Obviously, the event is running under strict regulations, with spectators required to stay in their groups of six, practice social distancing at all times and table-service will be in place throughout.
Squares will be marked around the outside of the pitch with four options available, so please see what we have to offer.
How will the day work?
11am – Walking Rugby Taster Session on Pitch 1
11:30am-3pm – Chinnor Social 10s on Pitch 1
How much does it cost?
We have a variety of options available to you, with four types of spectator areas to choose from. All options are for groups of up to six people and prices are per square.
Please note, only seating is provided as part of the picnic benches. We would advise bringing your own outdoor chairs, tables or picnic equipment to make your time with us as comfortable as possible.
Please refer to the attached map for a detailed layout of the options available. Please also pay attention to the one-way system which will be in operation on December 5.
Will there be food and drink?
The Beershed and Servery will be open with table-service in operation. In order to avoid queues, you will order over the phone, with the instructions provided to you on the day. A tea and coffee takeaway service will be in operation from the Marquee, but we will not be allowing anyone inside.
Please read the attached guidelines about the restrictions in place at the Club before attending on December 5.
How do you book?
We are using Clubs Hub for this event. Please click HERE to book your square for the Chinnor Social 10s.
The lead member of each party is required to book a square, providing their name, email address, phone number and the number of people in their group. Please note that if you have booked one of the Gazebo options or Standing squares, you will need to provide your own camping chairs and table.
If you do not already have a Clubs Hub account, you will need to register before being able to purchase a square. This is a straightforward and quick process, but please be aware that you will not be able to use your Pitchero details to log in to Clubs Hub.
What if you booked a square for the postponed event from November?
We contacted everyone who booked a square for the event which was initially planned for November. If you informed us that you wanted to keep your space for when the Chinnor Social 10s took place, then you have already been included in our allocation for December 5.
We hope you enjoy the day and thank you for your continued support of the Club.
