CHINNOR RFC Thame is extremely proud to announce that 11 of our players have been selected for the Oxfordshire Girls U16 England Rugby Developing Player Programme (ERDPP).
This news is just the latest example of how girls rugby at Kingsey Road – spearheaded by Alex Bond and Lisa Fincken – has grown and flourished in just three years.
The Oxfordshire ERDPP includes 32 players across the county, with Chinnor making up more than a third of the cohort.
Our congratulations to:
Esme Barlow
Rune Fincken
Alice Grapes
Josie Harris
Grace Harrison
Rachel Hemmings
Coco Luitsz
Maisi Partridge
Megan Phillips
Amelie Rucker
Imogen White
The ERDPP is for girls in school years 10 and 11 and the programme got underway this month.
It will involve three playing opportunities and training throughout the season with county-led coaches.
The ERDPP has been introduced as part of the Rugby Football Union’s commitment to providing young female players with the same opportunities and experiences as their male counterparts.
The programme will help to identify talent at U16 level and it is hoped it will help support the ‘Every Rose’ action plan, ensuring there is a healthy pathway for players to progress from age-grade to international rugby.
