Chinnor RFC Thame has been buzzing with excitement over the past few years. With teams at every age group and level in both men's, women's and junior rugby, and the senior men's team recently promoted to the championship, the club has much to celebrate. Now, adding to this list of achievements, Chinnor RFC is thrilled to announce the launch of its first-ever wheelchair rugby team!

In partnership with Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby (GBWR) and the Stoke Mandeville Maulers, Chinnor RFC is bringing wheelchair rugby to Kingsey Road. The team will cater to juniors aged 12-17 with physical disabilities, welcoming all genders to join in the fun and competition.

To kick off this exciting new chapter, Chinnor RFC is hosting two taster sessions in July. Mark your calendars for Saturday, 6th July, and Saturday, 27th July. These sessions will take place at the sports hall of Lord William's Lower School, conveniently located just down the road from the club.

Participants will have the unique opportunity to learn from GBWR-qualified coaches and ex-Paralympians. These sessions promise to be an invaluable experience for young athletes eager to try their hand at this thrilling sport.

This is a really exciting evolution for the club and we can't wait to see a new addition to the junior section rolling around the court in the infamous black and white strips of Chinnor RFC.
