Chinnor's coaching team hunger for silverware shows in huge haul of trophies across the rugby pyramid.

Nick Easter's senior coaching team have amassed a remarkable seven titles between themselves in 2023/24 season. Nick, Craig Hampson, Tom Cruse and Greg Goodfellow have enjoyed a hugely successful season both playing and coaching in a variety of teams.

It was Nick who kicked off the unprecedented haul when he took US Eagles to the Vida Espana tournament in November. Juggling his commitments with Chinnor he showed his ability to foster a successful tournament team in International Rugby with the Eagles winning the competition. With RWC 2031 scheduled for the USA Nick will be keen to keep this run of success going and really make an impact on the International scene.

Craig quickly followed up Nick's success by coaching Harrow School to a thrilling 29-27 win at Twickenham against Kirkham Grammar in the Continental Cup English Schools U18s. We don't know where Craig gets the time to fit in all his Rugby commitments but it's certainly working with his ability and experience shining through, Harrow had a superb season and have many future stars in their ranks.

Up next was the BIG one. After a superb season the never to be forgotten Saturday April 13th at Birmingham Moseley was the pinnacle of Chinnor's history. A wonderful performance ended in a 53-0 win and the Championship guaranteed. Celebrations continued thick and fast and culminated in a gutsy win in Darlington followed by the fantastically supported open top bus parade and Champions party.

This was the tipping point for silverware to come thick and fast at the end of the season. Craig added to his collection when Ealing Trailfinders were crowned Champions of the Championship and this was quickly followed when Tom's Northampton Saints won the Premiership title. A nice way for Tom to retire from his playing days after a superb career.

Enter Greg Goodfellow , a man who was tipped by Dan Carter to have a stellar career. Firstly Greg was part of the squad that won the Oxfordshire Vets Cup with a battling win over Grove. Greg was then Lead Coach of Oxfordshire Men as they won a thrilling encounter at Twickenham against Cheshire in the Bill Beaumont Trophy. Trailling 10-37 with time running out Oxfordshire staged a remarkable comeback to win 38-37.

Massive congratulation to Nick and his team for this stunning success. The team is a great mix of past and current players, bond extremely well and have complimentary skills and experience which have a telling impact on the playing squad. We bid farewell to Tom who has had a real impact this season. A very popular and friendly member of the team , we'll be seeing him next season at Bedford and he's sure to be a big success with the Blues.
