Chinnor field a largely familiar team for the historic first ever fixture in Tier 2 of Rugby. 18 of the squad that played so well to storm to the National 1 title last season return. George Shaw is one of two debutant in the forwards as he packs down in the row with centurion captain Ryan. In the back row the abrasive Harry Dugmore also debuts joining us from a stint at the Cornish Pirates.
In the backs Conor Slevin debuts on loan from Harlequins at fly half. The young England age grade star will be looking to control the game in tandem with Luke Carter, Chinnor’s stand out scrum half. The rest of the backs all return from their successful season .
On the bench live wire Scrum half Pascoe will make his debut after signing from DMP after a very impressive season Lawson Porter is the other debutant and is surrounded by many of last season’s star performers including Clarke, Clementson and Brocksmidt.

It will be a big day for the boys and the extra focus will be there to make sure Ryan has a day to remember. Director of Rugby Nick Easter said ‘ Ever since I joined Chinnor Willie has been a stand out performer on and off the pitch. His level of play is always high and he leads by exceptional example. He was the best 8 in National One so it will be interesting to see how he stacks up in the Championship. I am glad he decided to continue this season and he deserves great praise for his 100th appearance’
